Stand-up paddleboarding is an excellent way to get out on the water while vacationing in Tofino. We are proud to offer board and wetsuit rentals, private and group lessons and tours directly from our Pacific Surf School SUP Shack located on our resort property. Ocean Village sits directly on Mackenzie Beach, Tofino’s calmest shoreline and an ideal setting to learn how to stand-up paddleboard.

A go-to activity for calm days in Tofino (wavy days are for surfing!), SUP is guaranteed fun for many ages and fitness levels. While exploring the beautifully rugged shorelines, expect to learn everything from basic paddling strokes to more advanced techniques. Experience Nature At Your Backdoor
All SUP tours leave at 9AM from Mackenzie Beach, and offer the ability to experience a wide range of local sea creatures, from urchins to sea lions (and whales, if you’re lucky!). With bald eagles soaring overhead and dungeness crabs scuttling below your board, you can expect a memorable encounter with the raw natural beauty of our open coastline.
SUP Tours typically include checking out the kelp forests and hidden coves of Mackenzie Beach, North Chesterman Beach, Middle Beach and (for more advanced SUP-ers, Tonquin Beach). All guides are certified by Paddle Canada as well as in first aid and CPR.
The Details
Pacific Surf School offers group SUP tours starting at $89/paddler, private group tours (3-4 people) at $159 first paddler plus $89/each additional paddler or private one-on-one tours for $159/paddler.
