Mackenzie Beach is Lit!

S’more season has officially arrived in Tofino! We can’t help but get drawn closer to the ocean’s edge to catch the last of the long day as it dips below the horizon in a blaze of glory.

Beach fires are synonymous with these summer nights on Mackenzie Beach. Cold sand and hot dogs are what core memories are made of.  As families and friends prepare to gather around the campfire, we’re stocking up on provisions to help you make the most of your beach visit.

Mackenzie Beach is one of the limited beaches in Tofino that permits fires (between 8 am – 10 pm). To keep environmental impacts low and stoke high, you’ll find all you need to know about local bylaws relating to fires, here.

Forgot the marshmallows? No need to fret! Come visit us in the OV lobby shop and load up on cosy wear, firewood, sweets, and even, fire sticks.

Tofino Fire Hammocks are now available on-site for rent or purchase.  Keep your fire game strong with this local, light and packable product that makes for easy setup and easier cleanup. Thanks to our charcoal disposal bins, we’re keeping the shorelines clean and safe for the kids, pets, and picnics!
