Highway 4 – Road Update
Just announced: Highway 4 is now open to two-way traffic!
On June 6, 2023, Highway 4 closed at Cameron Lake Bluff, near Koen Road, because of a wildfire in the area. Travellers were asked to avoid the area, a detour route was established and work began to stabilize the slopes and make the roadway safe again. The highway operated with single-lane alternating traffic and scheduled closures to accommodate danger tree removal, rock scaling and other repair works. The highway fully reopened to two-way traffic on August 31, 2023.
